A low- to moderate-disturbance hoe opener places the seed and fertiliser in a band that is followed by a matching on-row press wheel.

Disturbance

• Low to moderate soil and residue disturbance.

Weed Control

• Herbicides, crop rotations and cultural control.

Fertiliser

• NH3 can be placed at seeding.
• Spread reduces the concentration of the seed and fertiliser allowing higher fertiliser rates than with narrow row openers.
