Easy access, handy controls and the versatility of the 1740 or 2340 make seeding simpler and more productive.
The auger is balanced for one-person operation and swings under the air cart for unloading. Controls are conveniently located at both the top and bottom. A 203 mm / eight-inch auger lets you load and unload the 40 Series quickly.
Three down-draft metering innovations increase power, flexibility and accuracy:
- Agitator bar prevents bridging for a constant density and supply of product to the meter roller.
- Product is divided into equal sections—one for each primary line in the distribution system.
- Air and product are mixed in a parallel flow for a smooth transition from the meter box to the distribution system.
- Select from tow-behind or tow-between configurations.
- Wide stance and tyre options for flotation and stability make matching a Flexi-Coil air cart to your operation easy.
Tanks
Choose from two tank sizes depending on your operation. The 1740 and 2340 are two-tank models, split 60/40 to carry two products separately. A stairway and platform provide safe, comfortable access to the tank.
Control and Delivery
Advanced technology built into the 1740 and 2340 provides convenient control and accurate air delivery in a broad range of applications. FlexControl® eliminates the guesswork in rate setting and ensures the correct amount of product delivery.
With mechanical drive, a clean, simple slide adjustment lets you select the exact delivery rate you want, without changing sprockets or chains.
Optional variable rate meter drive gives you precise, electronic control of application rates. With FlexControl you can change settings, right from your tractor seat. Select the rate you want and change it on-the-go to match your field conditions. Variable rate meter drive is easily adapted to GPS precision farming applications.
Simple, effective air valve control at each meter lets you set airflow for accurate placement of product with differing sizes and weights. In-cab control is optional.
