The new PD 5700 precision hoe drill features Flexi-Coil's trademark flexibility, innovation and strength. It makes sowing and fertilising high-value, small-seed crops like wheat and canola more precise and efficient. The best of both widths
The PD 5700's patented, rearward-folding frame gives it a narrow transport width of 5.6 metres, so it fits into the envelope of most 4WD tractors. It's available in a choice of three working widths: 15.2 m (50 feet); 18.3 m (60 feet); or 21.3 m (70 feet. All three widths are available in 25.4 or 30.5 cm (10 or 12 inch) row widths and can operate with tow-between and tow-behind air carts. The innovative fold back design is unmatched by any other air drill in the industry. It makes visibility, safety and manoeuvrability outstanding.
Parallel link row unit
The patented parallel link row unit maintains opener depth from the top to the bottom of its entire range of motion. It preserves the precise angle at which the double-shoot knife opener engages the ground, for unmatched and repeatable accuracy. The units adjustable hydraulic trip force and down pressure give a 40.7 cm (16 inch) range of travel. The three ranks of shanks are staggered for superior trash clearance.
Single-shank design
The single-shank design means both seed and fertiliser are delivered in one shank, so the PD 5700 has half the number of shanks compared with drills that use separate shanks for seed and fertiliser. This provides improved residue flow, decreased risk of plugging and dragging and better performance in heavier, tougher residue. You can adjust the single shank's breakout from 120 kg to 250 kg to suit the field conditions. The press wheel packing pressure can also be varied on the go from the cab, providing the ultimate in seed to soil contact.
Superior ground following
Each shank is completely independent of the frame for outstanding ground following. For even greater flexibility, each of the give opener carrier modules is also independent. Patented frame lift cylinders apply downward pressure on the frame sections for penetration weight depending on the soil conditions.
ISO display
An ISO display, standard on Flexi-Coil air carts, is required to operate the PD 5700 and controls all drill functions from the comfort of your tractor cab.
