Cultivators
Hydraulic Tyne option for New ST820
Flexi-Coil’s ST820 cultivator is available with a hydraulic tyne.
The tyne allows farmers to vary tyne break out (125 to 250 kg) from the tractor seat as conditions change. Choose a high break out when you’re working in tough conditions, or a lower breakout for softer conditions.
Tyne durability and consistent seeding depth are delivered with enhanced hydraulic control. A soft return stroke gives the tyne a longer life, even when working in tough conditions. The hydraulic tyne features a nitrided steel rod which improves corrosion resistance by up to 50 per cent.
Durability is also delivered as the cylinder has a short stroke which displaces a low volume of oil, generating less heat.
Hydraulic Tyne features include:
- Common geometry with 550 spring trip assembly
- Shank and mounting hardware as used on 550 spring trip
- 1”x 2” shank, 50 degree angle, ½” bolts on 2 ¼” spacing
- Compact under frame design
Hydraulic Cylinder in Trip Assembly
- High Strength piston rod
- Nitrite coating on piston rod to
- Greatly improved impact resistance and
- Improved corrosion resistance.
- Up to 50% improvement over chrome shaft
- External gland cap for improved strength
- Piston fitted with wear ring for reduced wear and longer life
- Gland fitted with wear ring for reduced wear and longer life
- Single lip piston seal for reduced wear and longer life
- Cylinder pin eye fitted with hardened steel bushes
- Speed control oil flow system to reduce hammering and ensure smooth operation
- Use UN-Oring fittings to eliminate oil leaks
- Trip design with short cylinder stroke which displaces low volume of oil when trip breaks out. The short stroke leads to reduced heat generation
- Hydraulic cylinder in conjunction with accumulator cushions both break out and return stroke, and return stroke speed is controlled. Better suited to seeding where trips are working day in and day out.
- Hydraulic trip allows operator to change break out force on the go from tractor seat (e.g. operating in rocky conditions / limestone reefs)
Trip assembly
- High strength casting for shank head assembly.
- Captive nut pockets cast in shank head assembly for easy shank and hardware assembly.
- Hardened steel bushes fitted to shank head pivot point.
- Cylinder pivot pins locked to minimise wear.
(captive pin with cylinder rotating on pin)
Accumulators
- High capacity accumulators
- Multiple hydraulic manifolds per accumulator to facilitate ease of fitting and assembly.
Control circuit
- Large pressure gauge for easy setting of operating pressure from tractor cabin.
- In line check valve to maintain system pressure.
- Pilot operation of check valve to allow easy adjustment to system pressure to regulate breakout force.
- In system Pressure Relief Valve set at 1550psi to protect all facets of the system both Hydraulic and Mechanical.
- In line ball valve to allow system to be unloaded when machine disconnected from tractor.
